Well, following the great success of our brand new show last week in Port Talbot, we are taking a little trip to India to bring a little of the WestEnders magic to the people of Mumbai & Goa!

We're really looking forward to performing over there, and it sounds like there will be quite a buzz. One of our performances in Goa coincides with the Festival of Lights, Diwali - which should make it all the more special.

Any of you who happen to be in the area (!) then we are performing on the 16th & 17th October at the St Andrews Auditorium, W. Mumbai then on the 18th & 19th at the Kala Academy, Goa. We'll see you there!!

Luckily for us we were fairly dry on stage, but praise should go to the audience at the ASET Audlem event - Midsummer Music - at which we performed last weekend.

The WestEnders had been asked to perform as part of this outdoor event in the beautiful village of Audlem, in Cheshire. Quite a trip up from the 'big smoke', but a really stunning part of the country so that more than made up for it. The event had been organised by the Audlem Special Events Team and what a great job they'd done!

The only thing they couldn't really arrange was the weather - typically 'British' as it was! - but despite a couple of heavy downpours, the audience were in great spirits, and it was fantastic to look out over about 2,000 people all there to have a good time.

After a full show, a visit on stage by one of the youngest members of the audience, dodging some puddles backstage and everyone up and dancing to our 'ABBA' section, the evening was finished off with a great firework display.

Hopefully everyone had as much fun as we did, and despite getting a bit damp now and then, managed to enjoy themselves.

We're looking forward to performing in Audlem again sometime soon.

Well, the WestEnders have spent some time away over the past few weeks over in Europe which has been great fun.

We performed as part of the "Inaugural Dinner" to open a large new wing of the TheaterHotel in Almelo. Following that we had concerts in Leuven (Belgium), Goes (The Netherland), Kaarst (Germany), Veghel and Kerkrade (The Netherlands). It was great getting to see a little bit more of Europe and also meeting up with fans after the shows at the venues. There will hopefully be more trips across the channel in the future - so we'll keep you posted!

No rest for the wicked!

Hopefully you have all recovered from your festivities over the Christmas and New Year period, and are having a great 2009.

The WestEnders are busy with preparations for our first concerts of the year in Europe. We have various performances in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany over the coming weeks, so will be looking forward to catching up with our friends and fans away from home.

But it won't be long until we're back again in the UK, with gigs coming up in Andover and Leamington Spa, and hope to see some of you there.

Not quite outside under the stars (it would have been a bit too cold for that!), but as you'll see from the picture below - it was as good as being outside! Although the guests were in a marquis, the ceiling was covered with twinkling stars.

We were performing for a corporate client last night at a venue in Cheshunt, and had a really great time - especially as we were using some of our new material. Along with "I've Got Rhythm / One Night Only", we performed "Defying Gravity" (from "Wicked") and "You Can't Stop The Beat" (from Hairspray).

The evening was made even more exciting for us as we were sharing the stage for our numbers with a group of dancers. They had also worked with us for the concert in aid of Future Dreams / Breakthrough Breast Cancer last month, and it was great to be working with them again. Although it makes you feel out of breath just watching some of the moves they do!

It was a well organised set-up, and seemed to run very much to time. Added to that being in a beautiful venue, working with some great dancers and performing our new songs - "Who Could Ask For Anything More?"

We're now looking forward to our next set of shows and appearances in the New Year, so we hope to see you at some of those.
