Luckily for us we were fairly dry on stage, but praise should go to the audience at the ASET Audlem event -
Midsummer Music - at which we performed last weekend.

The WestEnders had been asked to perform as part of this outdoor event in the beautiful village of Audlem, in Cheshire. Quite a trip up from the 'big smoke', but a really stunning part of the country so that more than made up for it. The event had been organised by the
Audlem Special Events Team and what a great job they'd done!
The only thing they couldn't really arrange was the weather - typically 'British' as it was! - but despite a couple of heavy downpours, the audience were in great spirits, and it was fantastic to look out over about 2,000 people all there to have a good time.

After a full show, a visit on stage by one of the youngest members of the audience, dodging some puddles backstage and everyone up and dancing to our 'ABBA' section, the evening was finished off with a great firework display.
Hopefully everyone had as much fun as we did, and despite getting a bit damp now and then, managed to enjoy themselves.
We're looking forward to performing in Audlem again sometime soon.
